Hear from Our Interns!

"The SingHealth Nursing Internship deepened my knowledge on the responsibilities of different types of nurses within the ward, from staff nurses to the Advanced Practice Nurses (APN). Through the course of 5 days, this programme confirmed my interest in taking up a degree in Nursing in NUS. Observing how the nurses cared for their patients and were their first line of help really motivated me to become a nurse too." – Cherie Tan

"Overall, the experience I had was very inspiring as I got to talk to nurses about their experience in their nursing journey. Seeing them overcoming daily challenges and serving the patients to the best of their abilities reinforced my decision to join nursing." – Jassie Tan

"Through the SingHealth Nursing Internship, I have learnt a lot more about the importance of interprofessional collaboration, especially with the interprofessional education workshop that we attended on the last day. With the vast differences in the roles of the different professions within the healthcare sector, it is important for them to work together to achieve the best patient care for the patient.

Overall, it has been a truly enriching experience and it has allowed me a closer look into the roles of the nurses in the healthcare industry. I am glad that I was given the chance to participate in this programme." – Chloe Wong
