The workshop comprises of the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) international core curriculum. The ELNEC project is administered by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and City of Hope. It is aimed at nurturing nurses with an awareness of the palliative care approach in patient care. Nurses attending the course will learn from a comprehensive curriculum comprising 8 modules that cover: “palliative nursing care”, “pain management”, “symptom management”, “ethical issues in palliative nursing care”, “cultural considerations in end of life care”, “communications”, “loss, grief and bereavement”, and the “final hours”.
